Shame Shield is a space for healing, so we treat your information with care. This policy explains what we collect and why, in plain language.
Your name and email (to create your account), your onboarding answers, your daily check-ins, your captured thoughts and tasks, and your messages with the AI coach.
Only to run the app for you: to personalise your coaching, track your progress, and keep you signed in. We never sell your data.
Some information you share (for example how you feel) may be considered health-related, which is special-category data under UK/EU GDPR. We process it on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give during onboarding. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

Your messages are sent to our AI providers only to generate a reply; they are not used to train their models.
If you write something suggesting you're in crisis, the app shows helpline information. We are not an emergency service.
You can access or delete your data at any time. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete my account, or via our Delete my data page) permanently removes your profile, check-ins, and coach history.
